THE PHONE CO-OP

Land to the rear of 19 Market Place will be used to accommodate a new office building which will increase the capacity of the site and allow the client, The Phone Co-op, to consolidate their staffing requirements on one site within the centre of Chipping Norton. The office has been designed with sustainable design principles in mind throughout and will be of contemporary design, sensitive to the site location, with minimal visual impact to surrounding context.

The building has been designed such that is sits within the site topography, with a green sedum roof which lines through with the ground level at the top of the site. This will negate the impact of the construction, and reduce the visual scale significantly. Local construction materials will include limestone, timber, composite aluminium and green roof technologies. It has been important throughout the design process that these materials blend seamlessly with the surrounding context.
